PSU power? VOSTRO 460/ i7-2600/ GTX 750ti/ 400W RS-400-PCAP-A3

Hi, I have business line DELL VOSTRO 460 with the following specification:
- CPU: i7-2600 + BOX
- MOBO: DELL 0Y2MRG H67 LGA1155
- RAM: 20GB DDR3 (2x8, 2x2)
- GPU: ASUS GTX 750ti 2GB GDDR5 with 1 fan (GTX750TI-PH-2GD5)
- PC-E: ASUS AC1200 PCE-AC55BT Wifi & Bluetooth adapter
- PC-E: DELOCK USB 3.0 x4 controller
- 1x SSD 240GB & 1x HDD 7.2k 2TB
- 1x fan
+
- PSU: COOLER MASTER RS-400-PCAP-A3

CPU, GPU & RAM without any OC.

I’ve put a very energy saving GPU (probably only RX 550 could compete), but still I’m a little bit worried about my PSU. Will it be able to handle?

400W theoretically should be fine, but this RS-400-PCAP-A3 has awful opinions and reviews, so I’m a little bit scared.

Did you buy the PSU already? It's not great at all. Id consider getting something decent like this soon, to be on the safe side:

Quality and will last you years with no issues.

You can try get by with the CM, but if it's one you've had for a while, Id strongly think about upgrading.

Thx for answers, I appreciate it. You convinced me 100% that I MUST REPLACE MY PSU. No doubt. I don’t want to take a risk to damage my components.

I’ve bought this computer second handed for 266$ (and upgrade ram, gpu, wifi card, usb controller for another 163$). I know it’s not a perfect gear but I would like to use it for 4-5 years.

Especially CPU (despite being old) is tolerable, theoretically I could put a quite strong GPU without bottleneck. i7-2600 has 8193 pkt in passmark benchmark, so not bad for sandy bridge (better than iconic i5-2500k without a huge OC).

I know that I should replace besides PSU: motherboard, case and cpu cooling, but it’s probably not cost efficient (it would costs another 200-250$). I don’t want to “over-invest” my desktop. So I will replace PSU only, use this computer for a few years and buy another one.

So I’m looking for PSU only. PSU should fulfill those requirements:
1) fit in VOSTRO 460 case (every PSU will fit?);
2) compatible with other components (every PSU will fit?);
3) top notch quality, so I can sleep well;
4) quite big power reserve, co I would possibly be able to change GPU in the future without another PSU replacement.

I’m a layman, don’t know nothing about PSU and never install PSU myself. But I’d like to do it myself for savings, maybe some youtube video will help me with this .

I would not buy a second hand PSU. Just my own preference. So I won't advise you to do it.

Specification:
- 550W, 540W on +12V;
- 80+ gold;
- DC to DC;
- japanese capacitors;
- 1/2 modular;
- 4-years old;
- used with ASROCK Z87 Extreme4 + i5-4690 + GeForce 970.

Maybe it is mistake but I’ve got mental blockade and don’t want to buy PSU that is worth 1/3 of my desktop value (266$). I know that it’s risky, but whatever, what will be, it will be .

Well, good luck so The Seasonic unit is an older one, but it was very decent in it's day. Hopefully it will last for you.
