Hi all,
I had the pleasure of buying a gently used 7850 off ebay, and have now realized that i have a sparkle 350 watt psu under the hood in my computer. Will it be able to handle a sapphire 785 2gb or will i need a diff psu? I've looked around and AnandTech said that most it pulled was 310 watts at load. But the catch is that the sparkle doesn't have pci 6 pin and i will be doing 2 molex to 6 pin conversion so take that into mind when you are suggesting ideas as well.
Here's the psu link so that you can work out amperages and stuff like that: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817103012

Oh ok if you feel comfortable getting a molex to 6 pin adapter, and you are certain 310w is your total usage at max load then it is up to you. I personally like to make sure I have a good amount what I need for power so I have some extra headroom for when I overclock. :)

I believe that the minimum recommended PSU is 500w for the 7850 and that card requires a 6pin power connector from the PSU which your PSU does not have so you will need to upgrade to use that card.

I would still suggest getting a new PSU entirely. If it does pull 310 watts at load then the rest of your system will have 40 watts to work with. That wont end good you will probably damage your hardware.
