Hi
I have question regarding psu and power consumption.
My specs are:
Fx 8320 @ 4.5 - 1.43v (cpu-nb @ 1.25v)
8gb 1600 ram @ 1866 1.65 (2 sticks dual channel)
760gtx gigabyte windforce
Psu : 600w Ocz sxs 2 eu
1hdd
1ssd
xfi music
(deathadder and arctosa keyboard both usb if that matters)
4 fans totall (1x 92mm, 3x 120) all full speed.

My questions are:
1) with this setting can i overclock card to its limits (about 1200mhz/1300@boost and 6000mhz ram all @ 1.21v)
2) If my psu is not enough how much can i lower Cpu oc to overclock gpu as far as above. - in both options i can consider turning off hdd entirely.

Iam concered about psu usage. Its 1.5 years old and i doubt it is enough for both ocs at once. What do you think.
Ps reason i can turn cpu down to about 4ghz and push the card is that it could give me about 10 fps more in one particular game (bf4 - and that is the only reason iam oc'ing pc). I suspect that it will give that boost since it has given it in bf3 with same game engine. In other games overclocking this (factory oced already) card gives about 4-6 fps which iam not interested about.

Solution
There is no way for a PSU to provide more power than it is rated for, so no damage will occur. All that will happen is whatever you are attempting to overclock will become unstable or not work.
I am not a big fan of OCZ PSUs, but according to here:

http://www.realhardtechx.com/index_archivos/Page362.htm

a system running a single GTX 760 only needs an ~ 500W PSU. For overclocking, I suggest adding 50-100W to their recommendations. Since you are wanting to oc both the CPU and GPU, then your 600W PSU may be able to do it, especially if you decrease the CPU overclock. However, if your PSU turns out not to be able to oc both, then I would suggest looking into getting a quality PSU from a top tier company such as Seasonic, XFX, Corsair (except their CX series) or Antec. Something in the 600-650 watt range should do you fine (unless you plan on going SLI in the future).

All i can do now is overclocking with parts i already have. I want to oc safe. Do you know what could happen if wattage usage would past 600w? Is it causing instability or damage hardware? Risking hardware damage is not worth it - i would rather oc cpu or gpu only.
