PSU Recommendation Anyone ?

Hi, I'm just confused in choosing a PSU for my build. I don't know what PSU should I buy because I don't know how much total power(wattage) will be used by my build I am really a newbie

Here are the parts that I've picked
CPU: Intel Core i5 3570k
Motherboard: AsRock Z77 Extreme 4
GPU Card: Probably an AMD R9 280x or AMD HD 7970 OC Edition
Case: CM Storm Scout II Black ( Already Purchased )
Memory: Crucial Ballistix Tactical Tracer 1866mhz 8gb Dual Channel Memory Kit
Storage: Western Digital Caviar Blue 1TB 7200 RPM
Accessories: 5x 120mm Case Fans

I will be slightly overclocking my system.

Q: How much total power(wattage) will my build use ?
Q: What PSU will you recommend ?

Lately, I wandered on some reviews and found a PSU Wattage Calculator, which recommended a PSU with a wattage of 549 W.

Q: If my build only uses a wattage of 540-600 W does a PSU with 600 W is enough ? or Must I consider a PSU with a wattage of 10-20% higher than the calculated total wattage of my system ?
Q: Which PSU is better the Corsair CX600M or the Antec HCG620M if a 600 W PSU is enough?

I will be considering buying the Corsair TX750m if my build uses a wattage of 600+

Once you find your wattage look into corsair and XFX. the Corsair TX series are good.
I would always suggest buying a PSU slightly over your limit, just to be safe and some upgrade headroom.

600w should be enough for your system with either of the two card. Corsair is better than Antec, but i would not recommend the CX series, go for a corsair tx or hx series psu.

Considering your using a R9 280X I can reccomend the following

the reccomend wattage you said is pretty accurate.

600W is enough but not enough for OCing

The CX600W is for mid-range builds and I wouldn't reccomend it if you're using the R9 280X the XFX 650W would be a better option

How much total power(wattage) will my build use ?

At stock, with the whole thing under load it will pull ~350w DC, which is about 400w AC from the wall depending on what PSU you're using and how efficient it is.

What PSU will you recommend ?

If you're going to run the system as is (single GPU) I recommend XFX Core Edition PRO550W , which will also give you enough headroom to OC all components as far as they will go and still be just fine.

With the TX750m you could have enough power to add a second 280x and overclock your whole system.

600 is definitely enough for overclocking, actual draw from overclocking doesnt double wattage. it adds maybe 10%

actual draw on an oc'd 3770k, a 680, 3 hdd 11 fans and a watercooling loop to gpu and cpu draws 400w.

620 is fine

i would buy the better power supply for less money, unless you like buying worse quality components for more money

Thank you so much for your help guys ! I will be looking forward buying those PSU's that you've all mentioned. As you know I am from the Philippines and those PSU's are really hard to find especially the XFX Power Supplies. But If I find one I will surely buy it )
