Question PSU recommendation ?

Hi, I have a 10+ year old power supply & am looking to replace it with something new & slightly more powerful.
My current PSU is an Seasonic X-750 (SS-750KM Active PFC F3).

Is this a good choice or are there any other recommendations?

A decent price, and a very decent power supply, yes. It's in the A tier of the Tier list. But it's still 200 bucks. You could go cheaper, especially if you won't ever need that 1000 watts.

Also on the A tier, but even better according to the Tier List. All PSUs colored in gold are the best in the tier of which this is one. The Seasonic PSU is colored in blue, which falls just under the gold colored ones. Also saves you 40 bucks.

850 should be plenty then. Even if you were to upgrade to an Nvidia 3000 or 4000 or AMD 6000 series, you should have plenty of headroom.

You don't need to spend so much. Even a 750w is sufficient for that, with enough headroom to upgrade...

It is an excellent unit and more than strong enough for your graphics card,

I'm having issues with getting 3 displays (1 TV & 2 monitors)
I can get 3 displays to work but I can't get HDR to work on my TV.

Used to work fine but I recently replaced my motherboard, processor, & cooler & it doesn't work anymore.
I'm being told to replace the PSU since it's ~11 years old.

BTW, will the Corsair RM850x fit in my Fractal Design Define R5 ATX Tower Case?

I do not see your display issues as being connected to the psu.
The Corsair rm850x is a standard atx psu that should fit no problem.

What do you think the problem is?
I bought new cables & used different port combinations on my video card & still can't get it to work.
Reinstalled windows & video card drivers as well.

Either a problem with your GPU, the video out ports on your GPU or the TV itself being stubborn. There's no way those problems are linked to your PSU, though the 11 year age of your current PSU is more than good enough a reason in itself to replace it ASAP.

Thing is GPU works fine with my old setup. Same with TV
Either way, I will upgrade PSU first since everyone is recommending it.
BTW, you mentioned to upgrade ASAP, what are the risks if I don't?

You don't have to upgrade, but you do need to replace. 750 watts is fine in most cases but with the newer graphics cards pulling (almost) half or even more, sometimes 750 watts isn't enough. 850 watts could give you that little bit more headroom. The age of your current PSU is the main reason to replace ASAP.
