PSU recommendations help?

I'm in need of a new PSU for my gaming PC, as my current one is faulty (a ground fault).
I currently have an EVGA 80+ Bromze 600W

This is what I have (PSU isn't listed for obvious reasons).

I don't want to buy another EVGA PSU, as this has put me off of their products, what with it being my first gaming PC and all.

Seasonic are a reputable company, right?

I was looking to get a Corsair CX PSU, but I was told to avoid the CX series of PSUs from them for a gaming PC.


I can't spend to much (a little over £60) on a PSU, and I'm just sick of having my computer sit here unused after spending £860-ish for it.


Is the PSU from Seasonic a good one to use in a gaming PC?
Any other recommendations?

SeaSonic is a great power supply manufacturer, as is XFX. Corsair was great in the past, but now they have a different company making their lower end units, and they are made with lesser-quality capacitors.

'Bronze' rating is fine - and the Seasonic 620 watts PSU that you picked will work well!

Bronze, Gold, Platinum, etc. are efficiency ratings.

its a HX 650. I have the 750W version and it had performed more than admirably (12V rail is at 12.024V) sadly it is over a $100 PSU (around 70 bucks for you i think). But its a gold rated PSU and it's modular.

Thanks for the recommendation, but I can't get that as its out of the price rang so can currently afford.

I'm just going to buy the Seasonic 620w PSU, like people have said I should.

Or, save up and get the fully modular seasonic 650W PSU. I hate cables so I always get fully modualr PSUs, it saves a lot of room too.

I can't find anything about this one other than on Scan.co.uk though, so I'm unable to find out if it uses a British plug, or a European plug like the one I posted in my OP.

Wagt type of plug does it have though? A 2 prong European plug, or a 3 prong British plug?
