Hi i rma'd my psu and am getting a replacement tomorrow. I have to install it myself and have never done a build before. Im worried bout static charge as i have no esd mat or wristwrap. Ill be bulding on wood floor and a wood dining table. I see people on the threads arguing over the psu wall socket ground method with some saying it onyl equalizes the charge between u and the comp andu may get problems down the line because of it. Idk what to believe so for peace of mind plz someone tell me wat i shud do

As long as you are smart about it then no you dont need to. Just touch the case, an outlet, or anything grounded after moving around then get to work. Once you do that you wont generate a charge unless you move more (which is near impossible on wood). ESDs are caused when leveling charges, when you and the work space are on the same charge nothing can discharge.
Whats the safest method for grounding and handling the psu installation in my situation? My case is a corsair 400r btw and everything seems to be painted black
