hi i was thinking about upgrading my system with a new gpu, and wanted to get the new Vega 64.

i just wanted to know if a 600watt psu would be able to handle this build Corsair SF600 600 Watt SFX 80 PLUS Gold

the build is as follows

i5 6600k (i have it running at about 4.5ghz)
the Vega 64gpu

and i also have a dc pump for my water cooling loop(although i am not sure if it draws anything worth mentioning or not.)

NOTE: i probably wont be overclocking my gpu too much because i dont have alot of thermal headroom considering this is in the lian li pc 05 case.

also i am quite limited to psu since this psu is pretty much the only one that will fit with the thick radiator.

Solution

You'd have more than enough power for that.
If you're liquid cooling the Vega, you're going to probably need 750w. 600 is what I would consider bare minimum for that card even air cooled, but it is a good PSU so I don't have much more worries.

Liquid cooled Vega draws much, much more power, so there's that.

when i mean liquid cooled i have a custom loop so the clock speed of the veg will be the same as a regular air cooled vega, so do you think this would be fine?

No, it will have the same power draw or maybe even more (depending on your custom loops cooling) as the liquid cooled Vega 64, meaning you're probably going to need to upgrade your PSU.

Ok what if i were to go for a vega 56 would this work out with my current setup?

You'd have more than enough power for that.
