Today I decided to change the MOBO and add a second card to make this an SLI rig.

This is my current configuration:
MSI GTX 760 OC ITX 3GB GDDR5 GPU SLI with Twin Frozr
AMD FX 8320 3.5 Ghz Black Edition
Corsair H75 Liquid Cooling
8 GB Single Stick Ballistix Sport RAM
750W EVGA Modular NXT PSU
MSI 970 MOBO
ThermalMaster Case
1.5 TB Green Caviar HDD
160 GB VelociRaptor HDD
2 TB External WD My Passport HDD
Windows 8.1

When I tried to boot, My power supply would not turn on. After several tried, the fan spun once and I smelled smoke coming from it. Now I have disconnected most parts and have not seen any sign of boot, or heard any fans spinning.
Is this possibly a Motherboard Problem, or definitely PSU? Can it be fixed or did I just RMA my PSU?
Thank you.

I had the same problem as what you did, my PSU sparked and now nothing will boot, my MOBO receives no power or anything, if you've got an old PSU I'd try that and see what you can get
