Question PSU suddenly shut down --- failed to start for 3 days - NOW works again ?

First time poster because this is a pickle!

While my PC was on it shut down and could not turn on again.
Tried several times with no luck.
After that I connect my old PSU and PC normally works again.
Testing my PSU to my old PC failed to start up for 3 days, today I was about to return it, tried a last check managed to START (after 4 failed auto retries) and after that it works every time (5-6 times tested)

Any ideas? I do not know if I should return it or keep it ?

Can you tell what psu that is? Also if you are facing issue with new product swap it out.

No you shouldn't face that kind of issue with such a good psu.

My only question is why on earth it works now, what could have been wrong?
Can the PSU be faulty but work so many times in a row again?

The problem is you have been using it just for a month and it's been giving you problem where it wasn't working for 3 days and again on the 4th day you try couple of time then it works, so I'm sceptical about that particular unit.

Potentially, that's a protection kicking in with the new PSU because of bad input current. In this scenario, the old PSU wouldn't trip because it lacks the protection involved.

Did you flip the switch at the back of the RMx when retrying? When you don't, you're not disengaging the protection.

Auto retries ? As in it does start but doesn't boot ? More in-depth explanation on what exactly 'my PSU shutdown and doesn't start' mean for you.
