I am going to buy new rig in future. Wanted to ask if ANTEC VP550W WOULD SUSTAIN.
R9 280 ( WOULD NEVER BE OVERCLOCKING)
FX 8320 PROCESSOR (^same here)
Asus m5a78lm
Hyperx fury 8gb ram.

I saw some other person running the same card with i5 4507s (if thats what it is actually called) on 550w psu.

I cannot buy new psu.(already bit out of budget)
So would you recommend gtx760 for lower power consumption.

Thanx for advice.

Solution
The r9 280 has 3Gb(the r9 285 has 2Gb) and both of those will be faster than a 270x(no matter how much vram is has). I suggest getting the r9 280. With a stock 8320(125w) and a 280(140w-175w depending on the model) your system will pull ~350w(unless you are running an absurd amount of hdds and/or fans).
CPU maybe 150 W. Add that figure above, 200-250 W for GPU. 400 W. Add 20-30 watt per harddisk dvd-drive. Fans a couple of watts, 10 or so. You are fast approaching 500 Watts. PSUs don't like being on the limit.

I would say you are pushing it with a 550W in the above example. If its a bad quality PSU, you are asking for trouble. You can't afford a bigger PSU? Too bad, your whole system might fry because of an inadequate or bad PSU. How much does replacing that cost?

A PSU is a long-term investment. I've had my 850 W PSU since 2006. I've used it in 3 builds now. Still going strong. You might save a bit NOW by buying a cheaper PSU but how much do 3 PSUs cost versus 1 powerful? More, right.

If you can bring it down to 400 W total, you should be fine.
R9 270 or similar nvidia card. I wouldnt recommend a 750Ti, too poor performance.

Take these figures with a grain of salt.

With an fx-8350 overclocked to 4.8 Ghz and an overclocked GTX 760, my system draws max 460 W.
320 W without overclock. So on average I assume they add 200 W to whatever your system draws.

So a 270/270X would be my recommendation.

First signs of a PSU pushed to the limit = random crashes daily. Unstable system, reboots etc.

As far as i know is that gigs dont matter that muchh.
So i was thinking to get gtx 760.
But please correct me if i am wrong.

Gigs do matter. I have the GTX 760 and the memory is maxed on it most of the time. In most games released this year. I wish I had 3 gigs or more. Besides, the card is 2 years old at least, I wouldn't buy it. Especially since the price has stayed pretty much the same the whole 2 years, not value for money. And it is just a rebranded GTX 670.
Granted, you could say the same about AMDs 2xx-series. Rebranded 7870/7970. Only the 290-series is new.

So which one would you recommend.
R9 270x 4gb or r9 280 2gb

The r9 280 has 3Gb(the r9 285 has 2Gb) and both of those will be faster than a 270x(no matter how much vram is has). I suggest getting the r9 280.
