Hi!

I recently purchased a SAPPHIRE NITRO Radeon™ R9 380 4G D5 with back plate GPU and I'm going to buy next is a power supply. I was about to buy on the same day but my money got short and you know the rest. I've been given a suggestion but from these options, which do you think is best for my money (60$) with the power consumption also. I did some test to see how much the new card would require and from these options it's quite distant. Thank you!

(based from its Newegg.com names)
COUGAR SL600 600W ATX12V
SeaSonic S12II 520 Bronze 520W ATX12V V2.3 / EPS 12V V2.91
XFX TS Series P1550SXXB9 550W ATX12V 2.2 & ESP12V 2.91

Or if you have any other suggestions to give, please do. I'm going to buy this day also. And thanks again!

The SeaSonic or XFX unit will work great. The EVGA G1 unit above is lower quality than those two. If you are buying an EVGA psu for a gaming rig, try to get either B2/G2/P2 or GS/GQ. But like I said the XFX or SeaSonic is great and you could also look at the SeaSonic M12II as it is modular.

@djreedj I'm not skimping it but I don't see my rig exceeding 600W (even with everything upgraded with the way my rig is right now) and that to me is a waste of money, and it's also above my budget so I can't really look into that option right now

The Seasonic and XFX are practically identical (XFX is made by Seasonic) so you can't go wrong with either one.

djreedj, you should not reccomend EVGA NEX PSU's they are not good quality. EVGA PSU's that are good (Superflower) are the B2/G2/P2/GQ series.

@Djreedj I understand that but the SeaSonic S12II 520W from reviews so far meets those and less the price. I just can't really spend above 60$ right now. And it seems to me like a pretty decent PSU but not as good as the one you've suggested although it beats on price, which is what I'm looking for right now.

Gold is the efficiency rating. Has nothing to do with the build quality or the quality of the capacitors in the PSU.

Thats a G2 so yes, it is made by Superflower and an excellent quality PSU. Any EVGA that ends in B2/G2/P2/GQ/PQ are great. Anything else, avoid.

Get the Seasonic, its excellent quality and enough power.

Hey man! I just finished buying both GPU (SAPPHIRE NITRO Radeon™ R9 380 4G D5 with back plate) and PSU (SeaSonic S12II 520 Bronze 520W) and I can't seem to make the GPU power up with the PSU with whatever I do since I'm new to all this plugging in new hardwares. I think it's something wrong with the pluggings and further details are posted here:

Please help me regarding this, and thanks!
