Question PSU Suggestion

Good evening everyone 🙂

So I'm currently building a PC with the below specs:

CPU: i7 8700K

GPU: Nvidia RTX 2070 Super/AMD 5700XT

MOBO: Gigabyte Z270P-D3 (rev. 1.0)

And I'm currently searching for a PSU in order to power all of that. A sweet spot for me personally would be a Bronze certified 650W PSU, such as the Thermaltake Berlin Pro RGB 650W which is currently my first choice (opinions on this greatly welcome) and I really want those extra Watts in order to future - proof the system for both possible overclocks in the future and maybe even an upgrade to the RTX 2080 Ti.

But really I'm open for suggestions by anyone as long as they do not surpass my 70$ budget for this specific component.

For your current build a 550W psu will be enough...but for future upgrade we will search for another psu.

Okay so what do you actually recommend, as I would like to future - proof my PSU choice...

A 600W PSU, or a 650W one?

Also, my budget for this specific component is 70$, as I said in my original post.

recommend be quiet or corsair cx 650. are you in germany ? then the price is good.

I highly suggest you raise your PSU budget if you're planning on eventually slapping a 2080 ti on it.
Something like Seasonic Focus plus 650W or Corsair RM650X would be good.
Also, that cpu won't work on that motherboard.

Because last time I checked that motherboard had a 1151 socket, the same as the i7 8700K's...

You need a motherboard with a 300-series chipset for the CPU to work with it. This is not just a matter of having the same socket.

Mind you, that should be the non-M version CX. Not the CX650M.

Even for a 2080 Ti, he could get away with an RM550x.

These would be my choices. The 550w versions are equitably priced, within a few €. Some are even more expensive, but that's due to sales in different stores, such as the Seasonic Focus Plus is also €105 in other stores. The SuperFlower Leadex III 550w runs €90 for the 550w version. 5€ for 100w difference is worth it.
