[SOLVED] Psu support

Solution
By the way the psu had the 8 pin connector (6+2) that the card needs..is the xfx gtx xxx edition
It's a lower quality model made by Supercase and is not 550 watts. The two combined +12volt rails only manage 450 watts if it's even working correctly. It does not have any PCIe cables for graphics cards that I could see. It has 4+4 for CPU power and the other standard cables. It lacks AFPC, UVP (under volt protection) and OTP (Over temperature protection). It's unknown if the other listed protections even work. This is not a very good model. An upgrade would be a good idea. A high quality 550 watt model can do the job, not a cheap one.

Gaming systems put a lot of stress on power supplies and only a high quality model will give you the performance, protection and service life you want. Also, a high quality model, among other things, will be able to deliver close to full rated output on the +12volt rail(s).
