MY PC is a year old, 9 months in my first PSU, an EVGA Supernova B2 had been started making a high pitched tick.
So, I freaked out and swapped it out for the platinum model, then, 4 days later, I heard it again.
It's become a once in a blue moon occurrence, today was the first day I had heard it in about 2 weeks.
It's an on and off occurrence.
It really has no pattern, not every X seconds, but it usually happens the first time I turn it on for the day, IE, after school.
The tick sounds like a little tick-zap
Is it dust falling into a thing that zaps it?
Is something shorting?
My homes wires? I have it plugged into a Surge protecter that I got for like 40 dollars.
It works completely fine. Has since august when the noise appeared. But that noise... it scares me.
