Hey guys,
I've been gaming on my rig for the past few years or so and now that the new EA FC24 is on sale I bought it and wanted to play a bit of football. Sadly my PC will always randomly turn off while playing due to what I believe to be caused by the PSU. My specs are:
  • GPU: RTX 3090
  • CPU: Ryzen 9 5900X
  • MB: ROG Strix 570-E Gaming
  • PSU: Enigma 750W (From my previous build but according to pcpartpicker enough for the current setup)
I have also checked the Windows Event Viewer and it showed me Error 41 and 6008 for the random shut downs:
The picture is from the internet as my PC is in German:

Hoping for a quick response from you guys as to what the problem could be and if I should by a new PSU now during black friday!

Kinda rare to see Riotoro.
Though, it didn't review well, with several flaws,

So, new PSU would be in order.
Seasonic Focus/PRIME or Corsair RMx/RMi/HXi/AXi or Super Flower Leadex V/VI/VII/Gold/Platinum/Titanium are all solid options for new PSU.
And when to factor in GPU transient power spikes, especially worse for RTX 30-series, you'd be looking towards 1kW (1000W) PSU.

Because it's actually a Seasonic Focus Plus Gold so you say a Seasonic Focus Plus Gold is crap?
No. Seasonic Focus Plus is good. Great Wall is not.

Is your PSU the Riotoro Enigma? If yes, it's a Seasonic Focus Plus under the. That platform has shutdown issues with high end GPUs.
Since when Seasonic and Great Wall are the same? :??:

Today we're looking at the 850W Enigma. It's made by Great Wall and shares a platform with the GW-ATX850BL.
Literally 2nd paragraph from the review i linked.

I would not trust a high-end GPU with that PSU, regardless of what pcpartpicker indicated. Not all PSUs are created equally.

What is your budget for a better PSU?
Alright so lowering the TDP in afterburner seems to do the trick for now. But i suppose that means a new PSU is in order either way. I was thinking of the 1000W range. What's your guys's opionion on something like this?

This, OP, is when it would be helpful to provide *details* of what the model PSU is rather than a brief description. Because since it wasn't, people are now arguing over their guesses as to what your supply is instead of being able to provide advice on remedying your problem.

Yeah, sorry guys! For the love of god i couldnt find an option to log in on mobile. It is in fact the G2 I have. I just tested my PC with a CPU Bench and Furmark running at the same time and it did exactly what I expected: As soon as I launched the second stress the PC turned off. So what do you guys reccomend? :D

and avoid Seasonic.
Just because Enigma G2 uses early version of Seasonic Focus Plus platform, which had transient sensitivity issues, doesn't mean one should avoid Seasonic completely. Seasonic has since remedied the issue with the refresh models of their lineup, like the current Focus GX/PX lineup.

Though, based on your logic, when one PSU within a brand fails (e.g Corsair VS), should one boycott the brand (Corsair) completely?
