PSU upgrade needed?

I have a 500w power supply in my pc. Its not bronze rated its quite cheap. 8 know this because I bougjt a cheap prebuilt and added a 1050 2gb and prebuilts tend to have crap power supplies. Do I need to upgrade my power supply to move to a 1060 3gb?

It should work.

NVidia only recommends 400 watt minimum......so even if it's a little crappy....I'm thinking it could probably swing it.

but you have to buy a safe power supply too.... like some are Corsair CX , CSM , RM series or Coolermaster Master watt (not lite or elite), MWE Bronze , GS , V series......

With cheap psu you risk your system. I like seasonic, xfx psus.
