Hello community

My system is a Sony RB30 (http://www.superwarehouse.com/Sony_VAIO_RB30C/VGC-RB30/ps/471790)
I have upgrade the memory to 1.5 & the video card to a NVIDIA GeForce GTX 260 (http://www.nvidia.com/object/product_geforce_gtx_260_us.html)

I believe the power supply (
Power Device Type Power supply
Voltage Required AC 110/230 V ( 50/60 Hz )
Power Consumption Operational 305 Watt
)
will be going out as the monitor goes black often.
Which power supply should I buy?

Thanks in advance for your help.

You'll want a 550watt PSU with at least 36amps on the 12volt rail.THERMALTAKE or CORSAIR both offer nice PSU at this time.I run both makes in various systems as we speak,and have had zero issues with either of them.I'm not sure if your board has sli or crossfire,but if it does,you'll want a 650watt PSU for running dual video cards.Otherwise go with what I recommended.Goodluck.

You would have been much better off getting an HD4670 since it requires no power connector and would not be bottlenecked by your CPU.

For the PSU, I'd recommend BFG LS-550, Corsair VX550 or Seasonic M12II or S12II 500.

I know this isn't his question but why are you pairing a GTX 260 and a Pentium 4? Looks like its the P4 530. Memory can only be expanded to 2GB with PC-3200 DDR.

Well your processor is only a single core Pentium 4, I don't think I would pair it with a GTX 260. Maybe a 3850, 4650? I can play BF2 on a HD 3650 with settings at 1280x1024 and with medium/high settings. It plays pretty well, not the best though.

You might want to take measurements of the PSU. This should be the ATX form factor. But some OEM computer companies have different types of PSUs in their system.
