PSU Watt

Would 500w be enough to power my i7 build?

Intel Core i7-920
GIGABYTE GA-EX58-UD3R
OCZ Gold 6GB DDR3 1600
XFX HD-577A-ZNFC Radeon HD 5770

Had this PSU for about a year now.

Sorry, dont know why that link isnt working. I have a OCZ ModXStream Pro OCZ500MXSP.

You should be fine.
As long as your PSU is providing enough amp on the 12+v rail for your decent graphics card, you should be fine.

Should you want to go SLI however - you will need a new psu.

You have a 500W PSU, OCZ is a good brand. Your current PSU is enough to handle your rig, but maybe you will try to get a PSU with a better certificated. Something like http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817371020

If you want a PSU for X-Fire or SLI, you need a 650W PSU or better.

You should be okay

Here are the official ATI power supply requirements for the ATI Radeon HD 5770 and 5750 video cards:


450 Watt or greater power supply with one 75 watt, 6-pin PCI Express® power connector recommended

600 Watt or greater power supply with two 75 watt, 6-pin PCI Express® power connectors for ATI CrossFireX™ technology in dual mode


The recommendations are for an entire pc system.
