This is my build:

CPU: Ryzen 5 3600

Cooler: Cooler Master Hyper 212 Black Edition

RAM: Corsair Vengeance LPX 16GB

Motherboard: MSI B550-A PRO

PSU: Corsair CX 600 (pretty old but works well)

Secondary memory: Samsung 970 EVO Plus SSD

Case: Thermaltake Case Mid Tower H200

As gpu i have a r9 270x for now an i plan to get a 1660 super on christmas. I tried a couple of power calculators and i always got around 300W as result, so without exaggerating i would like to get a 450W psu, is it enough for gaming, 3d designing, programming etc or there's something more to take in consideration?

Solution
The CV450 is still group regulated... like your old CX600.

The only options that are slightly better are actually the Deepcool DA500N and the EVGA 450 BR... those have DC-DC for the minor rails at least.

But in all seriousness you should just up that budget a bit and get this... much much better than the others:

https://www.amazon.it/Corsair-CX450...dchild=1&keywords=cx450&qid=1603879535&sr=8-1

Finding something decent at under 50 euros is pretty much impossible nowadays.

A 450 watt PSU can do the job, if it's high quality. I'd choose a 550 watt model myself such as Corsair RM550x or Super Flower Leadex III 550W. The CX600 you have now should be replaced at the first opportunity.

The CX600 is the older model of the CX series, the green labeled one. Using an outdated platform and rated at only 30C... it's quite bad.

The newer Corsair CX series (grey labeled, 2017) are a huge improved over the old model.

How old is that CX600?

8 years old now but i dont really have money to spend after spending 650€ for this build, i dont know jf i should get a refund for the cpu cooler and buy a psu instead. Can you please recommend me something under possibily 50 euros on amazon.it? i was thinking about these:

https://www.amazon.it/gp/product/B071S667D4?psc=1

https://www.amazon.it/Corsair-VS550...6:1631633031&rnid=1631630031&s=pc&sr=1-1&th=1

https://www.amazon.it/Fonte-aliment...=p_36:1631633031&rnid=1631630031&s=pc&sr=1-16

https://www.amazon.it/Corsair-Certi...p_6:A11IL2PNWYJU7H&rnid=490203031&s=pc&sr=1-1

https://www.amazon.it/Thermaltake-S...p_6:A11IL2PNWYJU7H&rnid=490203031&s=pc&sr=1-6

https://www.amazon.it/Fonte-aliment..._6:A11IL2PNWYJU7H&rnid=490203031&s=pc&sr=1-10

Could you please tell me the one you think is best?

You're way past the warranty period as well... that on a really low quality PSU.

Change it as soon as you can, like @Archaic59 said... I know, prices are up there with new PSUs, but you should've thought beforehand or at least asked before spending all your budget on the other parts.

Disregarding the PSU is the most common mistake I've seen made on these forums.

I would. It is a miracle that a CX600 hasn’t failed after 8 years. They have a bad reputation for failing, often in much shorter timeframes. I definitely would not risk new hardware on that psu.

Thank you so much everyone, i'll get it today.. i prefer spending 50 euros more than risking to burn 650, could you guys please tell me the one you'd choose from the list i posted above? Or maybe if you have any recommendation under 50 euros on amazon.it it would be really appreciated!

p.s. between all those i would go with this: https://www.amazon.it/gp/product/B07YVWMTT5?psc=1 since its a 2020 model but i dont know how good it is

Thank you so much, i didn't even know the "group regulated"' thing existed. How can i know if a psu i'm buying is group regulated or not?

Primarily by looking at the internals, specifically the secondary side of the unit.

Here are some articles if you want to learn more:

I bought a corsair RM550x at the end for 100 euros, thanks a lot!

That's a really great unit... nice (y)!

I'll leave another suggestion here... the Corsair TX550M is very close to the RMx in terms of quality:
https://www.amazon.it/Corsair-TX550M-Modular-Supply-CP-9020133-UK/dp/B06WW8G3S8/ref=sr_1_8?__mk_it_IT=ÅMÅŽÕÑ&dchild=1&keywords=txm&qid=1603917453&sr=8-8

Yeah i got a little traumatized lol i didnt want my computer to blow up or something. I really tried to get the best for the money, i started searching and reading about PSUs in the morning and i finished after dinner, no rest, i was even able to get a 5€ discount from amazon lol it was 96€ in total
