PSU wont hook to MB

Trying to hook up new PSU but it only has a 6 pin and 8 pin connector, but my MB is a 4 pin is thre a way to fix this

Should be correct. Usually with the 8 pin power connectors half of it can slide off (usually up).

Today's MoBo's oft come with an 8 pin socket that has a plastic plug in 4 of the pins so as for use with older PSU's that only come with 4 pin cables. Remove the plug and use the 8 pin EPS cable not the 6 or 8 pin PCI-E cables. This will be well explained in your manuals.
