Psu's come long way and modern can we get a report/review of modern low cost psu's

Iv noticed that power supplies have come a long way and was wondering if maybe Tom's can do a report or review on low cost power supplies to see where things are in the modern world.

And how did you notice they have "come a long way"?

Nothing really has changed, junk PSUs are still junk these days, there is 0 evidence to support that brands like Apevia have magically turned into not junk overnight.
