Psychedelic Windows Taskbar

Hi guys, just wondering if you know anything about a windows taskbar display problem I'm having. (GODDAMN windows)

Heres the problem: everytime I go into a 32 bit console application eg; dos prompt/dos based games etc..,when I return to windows the side strip of the windows taskbar looks all garbled/funny colors etc... but only on the side strip of the taskbar, no where else!?!

What do you know?

I'm thinking that it MIGHT be a conflict with the number of colours required and the number of colours displayed. Check your display properties when you see that - how many colours is it set to compared to how many it is normally for you?
