So I know this is a horrible set up for PUBG.

1- If I'm to upgrade my PC what should I start with? A newer i5 processor or a GTX 1060?
2- Would the 1060 3GB be enough or should I go for the 6 GB?

I'm already playing at settings lower than the lower settings in game + the lowest resolution and the game is barely playable.

My current specs are:
Intel Core i5 2500K @ 3.30GHz
8.00GB Single-Channel DDR3 @ 665MHz
Gigabyte Technology Co. Ltd. PH67A-D3-B3 (Socket 1155)
2047MB NVIDIA GeForce GTX 750 Ti (ASUStek Computer Inc)
698GB Seagate ST750LX003-1AC154 (SATA)

Current specs are good but the ram looks quite slow and for single channel.

I would do the Graphics card first personally and some faster ram in dual channel.

Core i5 2500 is good and shouldn't slow down in most games.

The upgrade really depends on what types of games and applications you use but again, 1060 and ram.

3gb is good for lighter 1080p but the 6gb 1060 would be better.

Right now the 1060 3GB for ~$250 seems like a good choice. I can wait a little bit and get the 6GB one.
Any idea when would the 1070's prices go down? I know they spiked because of the crypto currency mining. Is there any major differences between the 1060 and 1070?

Final question, if I do get a 1060 or 1070, would the game run smoothly at medium to high settings? I read that the game is CPU intensive and mine is like 5 years old.

EDIT: I'm currently looking to play PUBG (Player Unknown Battleground). My current setup runs OW and XCOM 2 without any issues.

Yeah I'm looking to play PUBG which I read is CPU demanding that's why I don't know what to upgrade first.
Also the RAM, what do you mean by faster? I do know that mine are faster than what my motherboard supports.

So the 1070 will go cheaper in a few weeks?

Great news.

So basically using a 1060 or 1070 will be enough for PUBG to run well considering my CPU/mobo and RAM?
