Hi,

My current setup is
q9550 cpu
2 x 2gb ddr ram
gtx 750 ti 2gb
500 watt antec power supply
60gb ssd
windows 10 64bi

This setup can barely play pubg.

My question is if I upgrade the platform to an R3 1200 and 8gb ram and keep the gtx 750 ti will pubg be playable on low settings on 720p?

Pubg will be the only game I'll be playing

Solution

PUBG is a tough game on systems to say the least, one of the worst currently, the R 3's aren't going to cut it, not really, they just aren't powerful enough.

Big difference in playable and playing well with an enjoyable experience.
Here are the basics, you can add in a Hard Drive depending on what you want.

You could use your GTX 750Ti also to see how it plays if you wanted to and remove the GTX 1050Ti.

Actually, I'm not sure where you got those system requirements from, but that's not what I'm seeing. I see this.

PUBG minimum system requirements

Here's what you need to run PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds on your PC, according to developer Bluehole:

OS: 64-bit Windows 7, Windows 8.1, Windows 10
Processor: Intel Core i3-4340 / AMD FX-6300
Memory: 6 GB RAM
Graphics: Nvidia GeForce GTX 660 2GB / AMD Radeon HD 7850 2GB
DirectX: Version 11
Network: Broadband Internet connection
Storage: 30 GB available space

That still leaves you lacking though, so in THIS case I'd say you definitely need to upgrade some components at minimum.

"Recommended BASIC requirements" generally equates as "minimum" to my experience. Recommended and minimum are typically pretty far apart. It also greatly depends on what resolution you are gaming at.

Recommended and minimum for 1080p is going to be a lot less demanding that at 1440 or 4k, as I'm sure you know.

Being clear in our statements is fairly important so we don't accidentally offer anybody misinformation. Just because the OP understands what you are referencing doesn't mean the person two weeks from now that comes along and reads that statement is going to understand in the same way.

Yeah I got it....

I thought I was pretty clear however.

Just saying, some people aren't as knowledgeable, or may not be primarily English speakers, and we have to try to be above misunderstandings not just for the OP, but for those that come along later. If it wasn't clear to me, it's probably almost definitely not clear to somebody with less gaming or component knowledge.

OK, I understand. :)

I took the basic out....
