Hi, I recently upgraded my GTX 960 2gb to GTX 1050 Ti since I want to resolve this problem. I want to ask why am I still experiencing this crashing problem since I have a good gpu. I don't know which hardware or software to change/ upgrade in order to solve this problem. I have the following components:

Processor i5-3470
RAM: 1x8gb HyperX Fury 1866Mhz
Motherboard: Biostar H61MLV
SSD: Samsung 830

Also I'm running PUBG together with discord. Does discord also add factor to this? Is my RAM not sufficient? Is my processor weak? If it's OS related then I'm willing to fresh install Windows anytime. Please help me thanks.

First check out a couple of things,

- Are you overclocking?

- Are ALL of your drivers up to date, i personally use Driver booster to check general drivers, and you know going to the support website for GPU driver updates.

8GB ram is definitely pretty minimum, meaning i highly recommend not using any other programs while gaming, more of a personal opinion because of my experiences with 8GB of ram.

Even adding just another 4GB of ram with the same clock speed, can make all the difference, but 16GB is definitely a better choice for the long run.

Also if you'd like, i recommend closing all applications and just running some user benchmarks, they can usually show you if theres any specific issues going on with your hardware.

Hope this...

Thanks for your reply!
1. Yes, I have my GPU overclocked and is stable (tested using furmark)
2. GPU driver is up to date.
3. I only use Discord while playing PUBG. I don't open browsers. Though Cortana, Steam Bootstrapper and NVIDIA are using like 50-100MB each. What can I do to these though?
4. I'm planning to add another 4gb same brand, clock speed and timings. Would it work though?
5. How can I test if there are issues going on in my hardware?

I recommended to see specifically go to userbenchmark (it’s a website very safe and many YT use)

Download the program they have to offer to test your PC

And from there it’s basically self explanatory. Let me know what comes up

I highly doubt, that it has to do with upgrading bios, if that came to mind to you before as well. Just a mention

Here is my result: http://www.userbenchmark.com/UserRun/9872570
Yes, a new bios update is available for my motherboard. But I'm afraid that it's not worth the risk of updating the bios if it is unnecessary.

Okay I see, overall your pc looks good.

Have you tried removing the SSD drive and running everything as you would normally?

How old is your pc/components?

After removing the ssd try playing pubG like you usually would and tell me how it goes.

I’m asking to remove the ssd drive just to “check” if this may be a possibility for your issues

only thing I can suggest it turn off overclocking on gpu/cpu and try again if it does not crash then one of the overclocking is causing it , and yes it is possible for a game to crash what your testing showed to be stable, testing and gaming are not the same stress on a cpu/gpu.

Hi, I asked my local technician and he said that probably it is because of the single stick ram. The ram MIGHT having difficulty. I'm gonna buy another 8gb in the future. The game runs fine without running other apps except windows' services. Tried playing the game and running a browser and it immediately crashed. I guess 8gb isn't sufficient if you run additional applications together with the game.
