PUBG low fps w/ Strix 1080Ti

this is my setup and I am getting from 50fps-90fps why is there such a drop. I also get screen tearing and at times some really bad lag.

i7-7770k
Gigabyte z270x Gaming 5
Asus Rog Strix 1080ti OC
Corsair Vengeance LPX DDR4 3200Mhz

my settings are maxed out except for like 2 or 3 of the settings which arnt that important like shadow and foliage. Those i have one on medium the other on low. my GPU hits temps of about 73-76 degrees under 99% load but my FPS are so inconsistant. I can imagine hitting 50fps with a 1080ti DUHHH FUHHH.

And I also play on a Samsung S34E790C which is 3440x1440 @60Hz

No reason other than PUBG is very poorly optimized. Playing on max ruins ALL systems, 1080ti systems included.

Damn..... at least the game runs really smoothly while playing WW2 and Fortnite.... but they need to fix the game those frame drops are so unnecessary. Game surely needs to be optimized.

Yep, the PUBG community has been complaining about it for some time now but it seems the devs care about new features instead of optimization. Not necessarily a bad thing but people with lower-tier systems will have a lot of trouble at any settings other than low.

My recommendation is to set all settings to low aside from anti-aliasing and post-processing. It's the best balance between looks and performance in my opinion.
