Hi everyone!

I am struggling with my FPS in PUBG and wondering if it has something to do with my temperature (a friend suggested). I got super frustrated after watching game testing videos from Youtube, where they got much higher FPS WITH higher settings WITH similar CPU and GPU :( ... seems like my 144 hz monitor has been useless for a while 🤢

My PUBG settings:
All VERY LOW except Anti-aliasing, which is MEDIUM.
1080p,
FOV 100

My PC:
Acer Predator Orion 3000 (PO3-600)
iCore i7-8700
RTX-2070
RAM 16 GB DDR4
BIOS version: R01-A0
Windows 10 Home

Here is the info from MSI Aferburner (gaming). The temperature will decrease to normal quickly after I turn off PUBG.

Idle / normal usage / internet surfing temperature:
CPU: 40-ish
GPU: 50-ish
System: 40-ish

I would like to ask a few questions:
  • Will decreasing CPU temperature increase my FPS / PC performance at all? If yes, how? (thermal paste / CPU fan upgrade etc..?)
  • Are my gaming temperatures "normal"?
  • Does decreasing the CPU temperature from 80 Celsius to let say 40 - 50 Celsius actually have any effect on PC performance i.e. gaming? (I tried to google even scholar articles about this subject, but only found like "100 Celsius (T-junction) vs 90 Celsius" and stuff, aka extreme condition vs acceptable).
  • Moreover, according to Intel, the T-junction point of this CPU is 100 Celsius, so in theory, 80 Celsius should not affect its performance at all?

Please excuse my possibly incorrect terms and ignorance since I am not an enthusiast yet.

Thank you for reading and I look forward to learning from you guys
