Question Pugged a new gpu into motherboard and this happens

Hello I have a P8h61-M Le/CSM R2.0 motherboard i5 2400 ddr3 2 4GB sticks and an MSI r7950 twin frozr 3gd5/oc what my problem is that I installed the GPU and when I got it to boot and played a few games and it shut off and I never got it to work

I have just installed a new GPU into there I did not have any other GPU in there
and I have a
Evga 500w 80+ power supply

EVGA is the brand, 500w is the wattage and 80+ is the efficiency. We still need the exact model of the PSU.

I looked at the power supply and it does not have a model name

That's impossible. The PSU has a sticker on it that says the wattages and the voltages and on that sticker you can see the model number.

it says 100-249vac 8/4a 50-60hz

I was able to start up the computer with the GPU but after logging in it shut down on its own and I cannot get it to start up with the GPU again
