Question pulsing fans, no boot, z97-A. Mobo or PS?

4yo build, light use. Out of nowhere power on causes pulsing fans & power light instead of boot. On ~2 sec, off ~3 sec. These would go on indef. Like boot is aborted but keeps repeating. I first thought W7-64 sleep issue. But disconnect drive, no change. Reset CMOS & keyboard del, esc, f2 etc on restart, ditto. I know final proof is mobo w diff ps, or vv. But maybe someone else has = experience & which it is. TYiA.

Best troubleshooting start would be with different psu. What psu do you have now?

evga 750. Will have to borrow newer smaller psu from another rig for test but should serve the purpose.

Yes be sure to use the repalcements cords and wiring in case that is part of your problem with your current psu.
