Pump doesn't pull water from Reservoir (watercooled pc)

Hello together. I hope anybody of you can help me here. Did my first watercooled pc build and now after a few weeks of work I thought I would be finished. Filled up the Reservoir plugged in the pump and let it run. The pump is not pulling enough the water. I tilled the system several times and also opened from time to time the top of the Reservoir to release pressure. But nothing of that seems to work. Anybody any ideas? Or is maybe the way I build it not correct?
My pump is:

First off is the pump still working? Next, the pump is above the water level. In a perfect world the res should be the highest point in the system because air will rise to the highest point.

If that is how you want to run your system then fill the res up all the way, put the cap on the top to close the system and then lay the case down on its side (or lean it at a sever angle leaving about 3-4" from the top of the case the to floor) that should help the pump pull the water into the loop to fill it. once you get the loop full it should help on other startups.

Thank you for your quick answer. And yes pump is still running. Just filled up the Reservoir all the way to the top and tilted the pc quite a few times. It's still not completely working but now I can see that there is again some space in the Reservoir. Should I fill it up again and keep on going and hope for the best? ;-)

Dude...... That setup will not work... Basic physics...

The waterpump is always below the reservoir... Always when you fill your reservoir the fluid just flow down to the pump so your pump will always have fluid. Now you are only trying to combat gravity... The way you have built your loop you will kill that pump pretty soon.


And use a silicone insert when bending hardline tubes like acrylic or PETG so they dont collapse.

Some bends need to be renewed just wanted to test it. But it seems like I need to do a few more new bends lol

Man, just pay to someone who has experience with doing such things.
you are ruining your hardware.
I'm not even going to try to explain what should be done as you obviously have not done your homework - watching/reading guides on how to build a custom loop. JayzTwoCents channel is a good starting point for a noob.

You don't have to explain it anymore. All done now. Cleaned and built back up again. All running now. Thanks for your help here guys. Btw not ruined one single piece

Then you are lucky. Here is a small tip:

Never ever ever ever run the pump dry. Since its the waterfluid that lubricates the pump. Would not take many second before you mess up the pump if you run it dry.
