pupose of wifi on motherboard

Solution

Wireless network = your own personal wireless network that is created with a wireless router.
You can connect the PC to the internet without it, but you'll need to run a a cable from your modem/router to your PC.

If you want to connect the PC to a wireless network without a motherboard that supports it, you'll need an adapter like this: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16833704129

so without that built in wifi, the pc will not be able to connet to wireless network ????!!! :??: o.o

Is wireless network mean the internet? sorry im just new with computers

That is correct. Generally speaking a desktop pc is not made to be portable like a laptop or tablet. So when setting up a home network, the desktop is usually placed near the router so that is can be hard wired to it. That is not always the case, so having built it wifi is becoming more and more popular instead of having to purchase a wireless adapter.
