Hi there, i have purchased the said card mentioned above, i am upgrading from a GTX 1070, the 1070 uses a single 8 pin cable however the new GPU uses two 8 pin cables, i am very green when it comes to PCs and different cables, i've noticed that i have several 6 pin cables that seem to be coming from the power supply which is a corsair CX750.

My question is, is my pc likely to have an extra 8 pin cable somewhere inside or do i need to get an entire seperate 8 pin cable and connect it that way, sorry for how basic this question is but i'm very new to this.

Solution
You are ok.
The cables will be of the 6+2 type.
That allows the cable to be used in either 6 or 8 pin slots.
For 6 pin use, the +2 is just left dangling.
