Purchased a new GPU and it doesn't fit in my case, HELP!

Hey guys I need some help asap.. I recently decided to replaced my gpu (Geforce GT 220) with Radeon HD 7790. I got my radeon today and wanted to change it but I realized it doesn't fit, it's a bit too long. What can I do about this? I'm clueless.

You are going to need to upgrade the case or remove the part that is blocking it from fitting, provided that is possible and you have nothing in there. Most of the time it is the HDD cage that is blocking the graphics card from fitting.

Do you have a removable HDD cage in the case?

I just uploaded a pic along with the post, the wires and HDD are in the way of the gpu.

Looking at pictures of you case you have two options.
Remove the motherboard and use tin snips or a dremel tool to remove part of the bottom drive cage to make it fit.
Buy a new case.

I just uploaded a pic along with the post, the wires and HDD are in the way of the gpu.

It looks like the hard drive can be moved up to where it is labeled HDD1 in the photo. If a card reader is already there you can purchase a 3 1/2 to 5 1/4 drive adaptor and mount it just below the CD/DVD/ Bluray drive. Or where ODD1 is marked on the case.
The blue SATA cable looks like it is pretty short you may need a longer one for the ODD1 position.

Move the HDD up there is mounting holes higher and the card will fit under it. Cables reroute under over does not matter they are flexible.
Looks like there is a 3.5" tray up there as well.

I can easily be mounted in a horizontal position so no worries there. most aftermarket cases have horizontal mounts. Instead of vertical in your pic.

I built a gaming PC in 2011 from personally chosen parts. In all honesty, since you're upgrading to a much newer graphics card, and getting into the bigger dimensions of cards, I would avoid all the hassle and simply invest in a bigger case, a gaming case specifically. You might spend a bit more up front, but once you buy it, it's the last case you'll ever have to buy. Expandable unto infinity.

It is a big case, you need a sufficiently deep desk to accommodate it, or floor space, but it's not overwhelmingly big. As I said, it's literally the last case you will ever have to buy.

Also, I wanted to ask, what size power supply are you running? You might want to consider upgrading that to handle the power requirements of the card.

Thanks for the suggestion, but I can't afford to buy a new case right now, especially one that's $150.
