Purple line on boot up screen?

Just now getting a purple bar on the left side and the screen shifted to the right to compensate when windows boot up/bios screen. Started after my computer froze watching Game of Thrones on HBOgo. It goes away once it gets to the welcome windows screen which I find odd. Ive tried a disk check and restoring my computer but nothing seems to work. Any suggestions or have experienced this?

Ensure the HDMI cable is securely attached and that there is no dust on the cable's connectors at either end.

Maybe try different GPU drivers.

It doesn't seem the problem is anything more than an oddity. I haven't experienced this kind of fault before.

Thank you Thelps! I blew in the HDMI cable and on start up there was no purple bar. I thought it was odd that it was only on boot up. Thanks again
