Question Purple screen when using DP to HDMI

Whenever I use a DP to HDMI adapter, my screen will randomly turn purple. I have tried multiple adapters, different ports on my gpu, active and passive adapters, and they all do the same thing. Without the adapter it works fine but I only have one hdmi port and I need to use one for my occulus and one for my monitor. Any help would be appreciated

Have you tried a different cable?

Have you TRIPLE checked to see that there are no bent pins or damaged contacts at either end of the cable AND that both ends are fully inserted?

I just dealt with TWO threads this week where we spend two days trying to figure out what the deal was with this guys DP connection and it turned out in both cases that the cables weren't pushed in all the way for one, and the other one had a bad cable.

I'd start there. Adapters are heavy, they tend to try to fall out of HDMI and DP sockets. Many of them are also really cheap. If you are using 10 dollar adapters, there's a good chance it's due to that.

Also, if you have not done a CLEAN install of your graphics drivers, now would be a good time to do that as well.
