Purple Tint on Left side of Screen

Hi guys,

I have recently been having a problem with one of my AOC IPS screens. I run 3 of these things and suddenly one started displaying a purple tint on the far left side of the screen. This is weird because i havent moved the screen or touched any of the cables. Its just happened when i restarted the computer.

The puple tint gradually fades away towards the middle of the screen. I have re-calibrated the screen in both control panel and inside the GeForce control panel with no luck. Then preceded to pull out and even swap the cables (HDMI). Nudda.

Wondering if my screen is dying?

Any Magnets near by?

Do you have any speakers near your monitors? Ar anything else that contains magnets?
If not, it might be that your monitor is starting to degrade...

Hopefully you get that fixed somehow.

Make sure you don't have any magnets near by your monitor or cables

I dont believe i have any magnets near-by except some small tweeters about 5cm away from the screen. I have a the screens now for 6 months and never had the slightest purple tin until i turned it on one afternoon.

There are a tonne of cables around as i run a usb hub from just under my screen.

In this case remove the tweeters and move them somewhere else. If I remember correctly, they also contain magnets.
Maybe this will fix itself in short time without the speakers.

Hi,

Nope, can't say that i did find a solution sorry, I have since thrown out that monitor and upgraded to a single 30" with a companion monitor.
