push/pull question with my H100i

Ok I am about to install the H100i the rad will be going inside top part of my Rosewill Thor V2 case. What do you guys recomend push or pull and why?

The rosewill Thor v2 case has 4 fans the top and rear fan are exaust (pull), and the front and side one are intakes (push).

I was thinking on the H100i to make one of the fans pull (the one near the rear top end of the case) and the other fan push? both of course are 120mm fans.

I use push because it does keep the temperatures a little bit lower, however push makes it harder to clean the radiator.

Is push/pull out of the question? Personally, I prefer push over pull, but push/pull is the best.

But, push is best in this situation.

A noob question before i finish up my build tonight, so i will be installing the Rad (H100i) inside of my top Rosewill thor case. So in order to make the fans PULL AIR the front of the fan should be up looking at the top of the case or looking down to the case. Yea is a noob question but i have been working on my build all day and im burned out... you how is that feel, when you can't think straight no more jajajaa.

PS- I wont be going push/pull... just pull

Look at the third picture and face the bars of the fans into the top of the case. That is the simplest way of explaining it.

Use a proper fan on the radiator. If you were to use a pressure optimized fan and not the cheap junk that came with the "kit" you would have the exact same temperatures. It is also much easier to clean a rad. using a pull configuration because you do not have to take off any fans. Just take off the radiator. Blow it out and you're done!

You don't want them pulling hot air from the inside of your case over your rad. You want them taking cold air from outside the case. This of course puts warm air into your case but as long as you have fans in the back exhausting your kosher.

Not sure on the exact cfm or count of your fans but ideally a slight positive pressure which this will also contribute.

In the end, no need to take anyone's word for it. Try both and let the temps tell you what you want to know.

Ive been updating my PC quite a few times recently even due to a coffee beign spilled on my scout 2 case. I would say these questions are least easy to answered simply because it all depends!...

So I'm using crosshair z with fx 8350 along with 4x4 ram and 970gtx. H100i configured on top with sp120x2 as pull+ same sp120 push from inside out (upside down). I'm running stock now with some extra fans 2 front push and back fan push as well because PSU is pulling as well. I'm not heavy gamer but I get my PC usage high often as I do some heavy photo-video work.

I must say I haven't seen my temps higher than 50...(35degs usually) maybe I wasn't too detailed to check it, but all this talking about pulling hot air through rad and pulling out being stupid- yes- this talking sound stupid. With no offend but even your motherboard does in fact generates heat but...for &&& sake it's not an oven

Again it can all depends...on configuration, cable management and pc case, but let's face it. Most of us- high or med-tech lovers, most have case large enough to make temp of CPU, case and mb stable and low enough to consider pull as good as push.

Going as far as looking for 1deg differences...let me skip that as much as question if it is even worth it to push/pull instead of only push for example.

My advice for all of you looking for an answer on that. Don't as you won't find one. Shake your brain of the spam, consider your needs and possibilities and go for it! Best of luck to you all 😛
