I want to buy a monitor for gaming that will sync up with a frame rate higher than 60Hz. It seems 120Hz+ is my only option, but I'm not about to shell out for one and then have it be completely useless.
But I've come across such a ridiculous lack of information about whether these monitors support 2D viewing at 1080p @ 120Hz, or whether my graphics card (a Radeon 7950) will support the same, that I'm very hesitant to pull this trigger. Can anyone provide some sage advice or insight into the matter?
Here are a couple monitors I'm considering:
BenQ EW2440L 24"
BenQ GL2450HT 24"
