pushing windows+1 will not unlock my laptop. what do I do

I am trying to log in on my laptop but I can not get it to accept my password

Hi,

Is that the first time it won't take your password or do you ever have a password when your laptop loads windows? If you're using Windows 10 there's still a way to reset your password and here's the link on how to do it. http://windows.microsoft.com/en-ph/windows-10/how-to-reset-your-microsoft-account-password. If it's Windows 7 or 8 the only way is to first check if the keyboard is on CAPS or not. Then Factory Reset is the last resort and you'll need to use a System Recovery disc if it's Windows 7 or 8.

I was using a wild guess on getting my laptop to accept my password and after stopping and going back ,All I had to do is unlock it.But I had to hold down the buttons ....Windows 8.1 is tricky...Any ideas on why (and how) the buttons arr hard toc
