[SOLVED] Putting any ram into slot 2 makes pc not boot

I built a PC awhile back and have never been able to get the second ram slot to work. Whenever I put ram in there, the computer refuses to POST. All parts are about 4-6 months old. I think it could be a problem with the motherboard (h310m-e r2.0) but I’m not sure. I’m using Tforce VulcanZ 8gb ram and an Intel Celeron g4900t. Let me know if yall need any more part specs, tjese are from memory but I’ll need to find the part list I have somewhere

It works perfectly fine with 1 stick of ram in it

Some times that problem is caused by bent or broken pins in the CPU socket.

I'll check for that tomorrow, if a cpu pin is bent is it possible to bend it back without damaging anything?

for intel, the pin is on the motherboard socket.

just checked, the cpu doesnt have any bent pins, however i did notice that my cpu cant support my ram's frequency so it might be just the ram is too fast for the cpu to handle?

Like RGD1101 said for your intel system the pins are in the socket not on the CPU. The ram should run at a base frequency unless you have xmp turned on or manually raised the frequency in the Bios.

check the dimm slot as well and try to clean it ... maybe it is the dimm slot contacts that are damaged .. or dirty.
