Question Putting bigger fan on Laptop Mod

I have an broken screen older Toshiba Satellite U845W that I want to change into a Linux box in a hand built case. The current cpu cooling is crap and I'd like to add something more. Can I wire up a small 3 wire fan up directly to the 3 pin laptop connector or will it not have enough juice to run it?

Look up the model number on the back of the stock laptop fan. Should state voltage and amps. That should get you started. You'll probably want to steer clear of RGB or LED fans.

Or if you're lucky, the fan might have that info on the sticker.
