Good afternoon, Everyone.

I have Asus Z97-A Motherboard that has total of 6 fan slots available(2 CPU, 4 CHAS). I am planning to water cool my GPU(EVGA GTX 970 SSC, overclocked) since it's running really hot and sometimes driver crashes during the game. When I water-cool my GPU, total required fan slots become 7 instead of 6 and I found out there is thing call 'fan splitter' that increase number of fan slots.

Here is the question. If I have 7 fans connected to the motherboard, will AI SUITE 3(program that monitors fan speed, overclock etc...) notice 7 fans instead of 6, or recognize 6 fans?(1 of those 6 fans will be 2 fans connected with splitter?

Thanks always.

is there a fan xpansion Card on your Motherboard? that is the good solution and you can Access all additional 3 fans completly like the other 4 pin fans. A splitter wont set you in Position to recoginze them as 2 single fans.

No. I don't have that. I just searched about fan extension card and looks like only ASUS X99 mb comes with that extension card. I'm not sure if extension card will work on my motherboard if I purchase it...
