Hi all.
I'm trying to put my PS4 into a DMZ.
As far as I can tell i've done everything correct.
I've put the local IP address of the PS4 into the DMZ area of my modem yet it is not open on cod.
I have also given the PS4 a static IP so it isn't changing.
Any ideas what's going on?

Thanks, stilli1988

The PS3 had a setting to turn off UPnP, and I now see the PS4 does not. So yes, you can turn off UPnP on the router, but some Internet services to other devices may be negatively affected. You may want to turn it back on when not needed for your PS4.

You might consider asking for a new modem/router, or putting the Technicolor one in bridge mode and purchasing a better quality router.

You may need to provide more details, such as your ISP, make and model of all networking devices (modem and router), and any other details that may prove helpful. Otherwise answers you receive would largely be speculative based on the limited information.

Since you are placing the PS4 in the DMZ, you should ensure that UPnP is disabled on the game console. All ports are normally forwarded to a DMZ device except those specified in port forwarding or UPnP, so any settings that may interfere with DMZ to a specific device should be eliminated.

Are there any other networking devices between the modem/router and the console? You may want to try a direct wired connection from the console to the modem if possible.

DMZ should be fairly straightforward. If it's not working and you feel all other settings are correct, there could be an issue on the ISP side.

Do you mean turn UPnP off on the router? I don't think you can do it on a PS4.

A wired connection is not possible as i'm to far away from the modem/router.

I have a feeling the modem/router they gave me is just bad quality.

I still have the old modem/router from before I got fibre optic. I've seen the option to turn on bridged mode on the new router. However i've never had to do bridged mode before. I'm assuming the technicolour is used as a modem and the old one is used as a router?

Yes, the Technicolor acts as a modem-only in bridge mode, and passes the public IP to a router you provide.

There appears to be a few guides available for your particular device:

Sweet i'll try it tomorrow. Just about 12 a.m. here. Thanks for all your help, I really appreciate it.
