Question Putting wireless in a room at the end of my garden

Hi all,

Hopefully someone can help.

I have recently had a room built at the end of my garden, it is too far away from the house to pick up the wifi signal from my router so I need to do something.

I bought a TP-Link wireless extended which hooks up ok, however when I get down to the room it is a) too far away and b) the walls are super thick, that means that the TP-Link can't see the router and thus extend. I also have a switch down there which is hooked up to my server cabinet in the house. If I put the TP-Link extender in there I am able to create a wireless network inside the room (so my phone can talk to my Sonos) but I don't get any internet. Is there a piece of hardware I can buy and plug into the switch which will give me wireless internet?

How far is "it is too far away from the house"?

Does the room have its' own electrical circuit or was power provided by tapping into an existing circuit?

Depending on circumstances powerline adapters could be a possibility.
