Question putting x2 m.2 ssd on asus rog strix b450-f or 1 m.2 and 2.5 ssd

hi guys i have 500gb 970 evo on my rig right now and i would like to install another m.2 1 tb for my games and other big files my mobo is Asus ROG B450F GAMING my question: is it ok to use x2 m.2 slots on my mobo or instead getting 1tb of 2.5inch ssd? manual says if i put another m.2 on the 2nd slot my pcie lanex16 will be set to x8 my vga is 6700xt is this an ok set-up? the idea is maximizing all m.2 slot on my mobo

If so, you have multiple M.2 ports.

Adding another NVMe drive is no problem.

yes sir thats my mobo i have found a cheap m.2 ssd here a LEXAR 610 pro nways is it plug and play just like my 1st m.2 or do i have to change some settings in bios?

Plug it in, and do whatever formatting might be needed in Disk Management.
(of course, power is OFF when you connect it)

It may or may not need formatting.
Or, it may be completely uninitialized.

Put it in.
Open Disk Management, see what it shows.
