Hey all!

So i've been upgrading my HP computer little by little and started missing space so i bought a bigger case (cooler master haf22).

This is my mobo

Now i swapped everything but some cables from the case leave me a bit puzzled.

1 : i have a 2 pin "h.d.d. Led" i guess those are the big leds in front of the hdd's. I don't see where to connect it.

2 : another 2 pin connector (one labeled +p led and the other -p led)

3 : "power sw" 2 pins?

And finally i don't have enough fan slots on my mobo so the extra fans have an adapter that allows them to go directly to the psu, is it ok if it's not connected to the mobo?

Thanks!

If it's connected to the PSU directly, it just means you won't have control over the speed, but that's perfectly fine.

Your 2 pin connectors will all plug into the pins labeled f-panel in the bottom right corner. The motherboard itself might have it labeled which goes where, otherwise you'd have to pull out the manual.

1. hdd led usually goes to an LED on the front of the case, to light up when you have hard drive activity. Is it necessary? No. Somewhere on the F-PANEL on the diagram is where that goes.
2. I think that's the LED on the front of your case that shows the computer is on. This also goes somewhere on the F-PANEL
3. This should connect somewhere on the F-PANEL and will connect to the front switch to turn your computer off/on

You can connect your fan directly to the PSU, but doing so your fan will always run at full speed and will be very loud. If you don't mind the noise, you can do that. Otherwise, you can get a fan splitter, and connect multiple fans to the same slot on the motherboard.

Hello... 1) that one is your Front case HD activity LED... goes to F_Panel, polarity is important... if no worky then switch around.
2)That one is the Front case Power LED... goes to F_Panel, polarity is important... if no worky then switch around.
3)That one is the Front case Power Switch... goes to F_Panel.

Yes... you have 12vdc and 5vdc from your direct connections to your Power supply for your extra fans... Connection types can vary and can be made custom for your needs... But fan will run full speed... so I make a custom connection to the 5Vdc for my 12V fans... So they run at about half speed for better noise control.

Red to black is 5Vdc
Yellow to black 12Vdc
