Puzzled by 9800NP

I flashed the BIOS on my BBA 9800NP (Infineon) w/ the Pro BIOS just to see what would happen. The flash went fine, but there was no performance increase or increase in overclock-ability, so I flashed it back to the original NP BIOS.

Now, my 3DMark03 scores are consistently about 200 points lower than they were before I flashed to the Pro BIOS. It doesn't matter what speed I run the card at, the scores are always about 200 points lower now then they were at the same speed before the BIOS flash.

The card runs the benchmarks and plays games fine, so it doesn't seem as if the card was damaged somehow or isn't functioning properly.

Can anyone think what might be going on here? I can't figure it out.

Did you change ANYTHING after flashing the BIOS?

Flashing your 9800 wasnt going to make it any faster, especially not with Infinion 3.0ns memory. Flashing a pro bios to your card forces faster memory timings onto it, a futile attempt with Infinion memory. A 200 point drop in 3DMark is no big deal...my scores fluctuate every time I run that benchmark also.

Yeah, 200 points isn't that much, but it's a consistent 200 points less. It was consistently 200 points higher before the flash.

It just seems odd.
