Helo all,

I have recently built my own computer with a blue and black color scheme, but that darn on off button and the reset switch have a bright red LED in them. So my question is: Do i really need to plug in PW LED ( + and - plugs) on the motherboard?. also, do i need to have the reset switch plugged into the motherboard?

thanks!

You don't have to plug them in, especially the PW led. Although if the PC is silent (CPU PSU VGA fans are off or going slow) with ambient noise and monitor is set to go off for power saving you can't say if PC is on or off by looking which is no big deal.

You can plug in the reset button cables, I would.

What the power button does (shut down, sleep etc.) can be set under Windows power settings.
