So I just bought new PWM fans for my case, its called the ID-Cooling CF 12025 PWM fans. I also have a DeepCool fan hub that i use because my motherboard only has 1 chassis fan header, so i used the fanhub to connect three of those ID cooling CF fans. the fan hub on the website says that it can control up to 4 PWM fans, but when i check my HWmonitor, i cannot see my chassis fan speed anywhere, i entered BIOS and it only says CPU fan and the chassis fan is N/A. my motherboard is an ASUS H110m-D ddr4. the fans are spinning but they seem to be spinning in a very low speed. is that normal for PWM fans?

Solution

So the fans are working, either the hub is faulty or it just doesn't connect the RPM signal to the mobo. Can you change the chassis fan speed when connected through the hub, try manually setting the speed.
That fan header is propably controlled by the cpu temperature, check q-fan control from the bios. PWM fans have quite a bit lower minimum RPM compared to regular fans. That fan hub is propably getting the RPM reading only from one fan port, so if you have one empty try swapping one fan to that one to see if you get the RPM reading that way. You should be able to use q-fan control in bios to set desired fan speed or alternatively use software like speedfan for control (you can set multiple data sources to control fan speed, like gpu/cpu temp etc).

yeah i already did that, i set the q-fan control to PWM turbo. but it only shows the CPU fan, but there is no chassis fan or system fan, it says N/A for that kind of fan, before i upgraded to these PWM fans, i was using corsair AF120 fans, 3pins. they were always showing up on the BIOS and the HWmonitor, but i think they are not PWM becasue they only have 3pins.

Yeah they are regular fans, PWM have 4 pins. Have you tried plugging one of the PWM fans on the chassins fan header without the hub to see if you get readings correctly?

I plugged my PWM fan into the fan header, and it popped up in the BIOS and my HWMonitor, but i can only use 1 fan, and the two of them cannot be used because they are connected to the fan hub. T_T i need to plug the fan hub again to make use of the two fans.
